Among accounting software, LessAccounting stands out for its designed simplicity and, although it lacks some of the thorough features that some of its competitors have, we liked it for its ease of use and clarity. Given that we are talking about accounting services, that are major selling points for us, and in our analysis LessAccounting performed very well. It’s biggest downside is its price, which we found too high.
As a web app, LessAccounting is a fast way to keep track of your expenses and profits, in a basic form: income, expenses, invoices or proposal, mileage, all in a double-entry system that shall be useful even for those who don’t know nothing about bookkeeping. It offers some automation to help you record entries based on a series of condition that you determine. Some competitor has a similar function, but not so easy to understand.
Reports and balance are well-thought part of the system, too. They’re very visual, very easy to understand, and you can personalize them. A neat feature that it’s delightful to find in such an independent software house is a bookkeeper at your disposal (for an extra, of course) that can help you to get the job done. Support is also very reliable, and they’ll do as much as they can to help you out in case you have some hiccups with their software.
Conclusion
Overall, LessAccounting is a very nice piece of software, but if you have such basic needs in accounting you’ll end up spending too much.
