Xero is a web-based double-entry accounting system rich in features and unique functionalities, compared to those offered by competitors. Mainly oriented towards small business, this accounting solution is solid, and it turns the complex of the double entry system in something you can easily manage thanks to a great online help system.

Xero supports every major accounting feature you may need: a fixed asset of management tools, Payroll, Accounts Receivable and Payable and a limited but useful Inventory Management. Developers worked very hard to make Xero easy even for novice users: no background calculations required, you only need to follow the walk-through of the main setup procedures Xero offers. Once you provide information the system needs, you can start to navigate in an attractive, neat interface divided into functions area: dashboard, accounts, reports, advisor, contacts, and settings.

The dashboard tab allows you to supervise your company financial status. The accounts tab, instead, shows your checkbook, payroll, accounts receivable and payable, expense claims and fixed assets. If you need to keep an eye on performances, position, and details, the reports section will help you: you can export reports to Excel, PDF and Google Docs format. Advisor and Contacts tabs will help you manage customers, employees, and suppliers. A monthly Management Report will show you your company’s most critical numbers in a great e clear way.

It’s easy to create and customize invoices with templates, as well as create international contact files thanks to 160 currency options. Inventory management features are very useful if you sell physical products.

Xero customer support is available via phone, email, and live chat. A large user community is also active and helpful. Xero pricing tiers are three: Small plan ($19/month) with limits to five inbound and five outbound invoices, Medium ($29/month) with hundreds of invoices per month and bank transactions per week, and Large plan ($39/month) with multiple currencies.
