Goodbuget Review

Goodbudget is a finance management software that revolutionizes the envelope budgeting system. The app allows you to assign spending categories—such as rent, groceries, entertainment, and dining out—to separate “envelopes.” Once the assigned money is spent, you can’t spend more in that category unless you transfer funds from other envelopes.
When setting up your budget in the app for the first time, you’ll enter your income and balances for all financial accounts, loans, and credit cards. Then, you’ll create different envelopes for both monthly expenses and less frequent recurring costs.
Unlike other budgeting apps, Goodbudget does not connect to your financial accounts or import transactions automatically. Instead, the app requires you to manually update your budget throughout the month. Goodbudget uses bank-level 256-bit encryption to protect your personal information and does not share your data with third parties.
