How to delete your Facebook account
Facebook has had to make easier the process of deleting an account: until a couple of years ago, it required several steps. Now you have two options: deactivate your account (which returns active as soon as you make a new login), or delete it completely (it will not be recoverable).
To deactivate your Facebook account go to Settings (or click directly on this link) > Security > Disable your account > Edit. Clicking Edit opens a gray text box that explains all the details on disabling. Below the text is a link called again Deactivate my account: click on it and confirm. Remember: if you log in again, you’ll reactivate your account.
To delete your Facebook account go directly to this link and you will be on the Delete My Account page. Click Remove. Keep in mind that you cannot recover anything after you remove the account, so you should first make a backup of all your things: go to Settings > General Account Settings > Download a copy of your Facebook data.

Permanently delete your Instagram account is very simple: go to this link, log in with your credentials, and you’ll find the Delete Your Account page.
