Microsoft recommends not to manually download and install the latest update to Windows 10 to less experienced users and to anyone who wants to keep the PC as stable as possible. This update, called Windows 10 Creators Update, should be the biggest update made to Windows so far.
Why it’s better to not install it manually? Because, according to Microsoft itself, it could mess up your computer. You have to wait for the automatic update that will be pushed when all issues are corrected.
Some PCs, especially the old ones, might not support it because the update was mainly designed for newer and more demanding hardware.
Some users who have installed it manually have already had problems with the Bluetooth connection: the update seems to interfere with accessories connection.
For this and other reasons (like many unresolved bugs) Microsoft through the words of John Cable, warns:
We continue to recommend (unless you’re an advanced user who is prepared to work through some issues) that you wait until the Windows 10 Creators Update is automatically offered to you. When your device becomes eligible for the Creators Update rollout, you’ll be prompted to make some important choices on your privacy settings before the Creators Update can install.
Currently, this update is installed on 10% of Windows machines in the world. The first to receive the update are of course the Microsoft machines, starting with Surface models.
