The Full HD 1080p download is finally available for Youtube Premium subscribers. The update is currently distributed in the 63 countries covered by the paid service, both on Android and iOS. Youtube, the video streaming platform owned by Google, will launch its paid service “Youtube Premium” on 13 new markets. Replacing “Youtube Red”, the offer launched in June 2018 offers many advantages, including reading without ads, reading in the background, but also reading offline, with the possibility to download videos. Until now, this feature was limited to 720p.
Youtube Premium offers offline playback in 1080p
Functionality is certainly not main reason for subscribing to Youtube Premium. Allowing subscribers to download videos for high-quality offline viewing may be a valid reason to choose this paid service. Youtube Premium currently has three subscription plans and a one month free trial period. Students will benefit from a special rate: € 6.99 per month, when the standard rate is € 11.99 per month. There is also an offer for families at a price of € 17.99 per month, which allows access to the subscription on multiple devices. In addition to the additional services on the video platform, the offer also give the access to Youtube Music. The music streaming service has just surpassed 15 million subscribers.
